What Vic said after a chance meeting of David Bagnall in surplus store in Tumwater, WA on 12/5/2014:
Had something interesting happen today. I was at the State surplus store at lunch today and used my credit card. The lady asked for ID so I gave her my license. She asked if I was related to a David Bagnall. I told her not around here. She said he worked in the office there in that building. I asked if the name was the same spelling and she said it was. So I went over and introduced myself. It was really interesting his family came over in the 18's from Birmingham and his great grandfather's name was Fredrick. His family was in jewelry over there and dad always said our family was silver smiths and my grandma used to have a couple of the brooches they'd made. How much is actual fact I don't know but that was the story I was told over and over growing up. The clerk came over with me and said we looked a lot alike. He looked to be in his mid to late 50's. He is thinner and a little shorter with gray hair.
Anyway, David said he is also very interested in the family history so we are going to try to get together and talk more. Who knows maybe he's a distant cousin. :-)
